Incredible quality and design - great price December 15, 2008 LMY (SC) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Bought these items at local major pet supply store separately because they weren't offering the harness and buckle as a single unit as offered here. The buckle went for $12 alone and the harness another $8. I later found the set online for $9.99 and bought 3. These buckles are just as durable and well made (if not better) than safetybelts found in vehicles for people. The metal clips seem as strong as those used by rockclimbers whose lives depend on such solid equipment. The part that buckles into safetybelts fit both old (1998) and new (2006) saftebelts, Ford and Dodge were tested and the design is a sturdy, concise fit. I know my pets are safe and secure on car rides, no risk of jumping out or escape when the doors are opened. Great product! Thanks so much for the thoughtful design on behalf of loved pets everywhere!
Excellent restraint for my Dachshunds September 12, 2009 S. Angelo (Sterrett, AL, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have two mini dachshunds and this restraint works great. It keeps them secure in the seat should I have to stop quickly. One of my girls, is a little bit feisty and Maggie got out of their seat while I was driving. When I stopped at the light, I got out of my front seat, opened the back door and Ms. Maggie was as quick as a flash and jumped out of the car...there was traffic there...fortunately, I called to her and she listened and got her back in the car. I immediately started looking for restraints. I bought two of them and embroidered their names on them...they are working out great. Study construction, strong clip to secure them to the seat belt or in my case, these are really mini dachshunds, so I have a coupler that I attach to their car seat and I secure the harness to it...both the girls are in their seat securely. That make me happy because I know they are safe.
Dog Harness August 17, 2009 J. Allen 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This Harness works very good on small dogs. I have a Jack Russell that loves to go for rides but I am worried about him jumping out of the car. The harness is adjustable so I was able to fit it to his small frame. The strap has a hook that clips to the harness and then clicks into a standard seat belt. When we would stop all I had to do was clip his leash to the harness and un-clip the strap and we where ready to go.
I would recommend this harness to anyone that takes their dog on trips or just riding around the town.
Outstanding option at a bargain price May 2, 2010 SAM (Indianapolis, IN United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased this for our 11 week old boxer puppy after trying/disliking a few different car harnesses and car seat straps (American Tourister, Top Paw) from local pet stores. Unlike the pet store options, this one actually fits her easily and securely! It is so adjustable in each direction, from neck to chest depth to strap length, that I fully expect it to fit her for months instead of just weeks. That is a HUGE bonus for a fast growing puppy that seems to outgrow items every 7 days. If you have a small/medium dog that will stay that same size, then I have no doubt that this will last you for years and years.
The harness is so similar to her regular one that she doesn't freak out at all when we put it on. The seat belt strap clicks securely into the buckle instead of the awful design that just wraps around the car's belt ... this means you can *completely* control how much movement your dog has in your back seat instead of hoping that s/he won't pull hard enough to fall off the seat or reach/scratch the door. Best of all, the harness fits so well that you can just clip your leash to the sturdy metal ring when you get to your destination instead of having to change harnesses before you get out of the vehicle.
In summary, this is a FANTASTIC harness at a bargain basement price. I also fully recommend the seller Grooming-Pet-Supplies - we ordered this with standard shipping on a Saturday and received it on that following Monday. I don't know how they got it to us that fast, but I'm so grateful. When our boxer outgrows the small/medium, we'll get the exact same item from Grooming-Pet-Supplies in the larger size. Do yourself and your pet a favor - order this harness!
Perfect!! October 23, 2009 Judy D. Szostak (Chicago Illinois) First of all I couldn't believe how fast this was shipped to me. Great customer service!! I was going on a road trip with my little dachshound Sophie. This was perfect. It allowed her to turn, stand, and lay any which way without any problem. You just snap it to your existing seatbelt clip in the car, and you're ready to go. I read a review about a customer who had a small dog that kept falling off the front of the seat. Easy solved. I just put my cooler on the floor on the passenger front floor, and put a pillow on top. She didn't fall, she had her head on the pillow when she slept, and my cooler was easy access for me.
