This is a great product. In the summertime we get some small ants in my house, and we use to find them around the old container i use to store the dog's food in. But since i got this, not only are there no ants in or on the container but i don't see any in that area. Great Product, good size and airtight seal.

I received this item and have been using it and I think it is just fine for storing the dog food (the reason for which I bought this item). Love that it has an included scoop too. NO, the lid is NOT sealed for a space flight!!! LOL....but it IS sufficient enough to keep food safe. I looked at many dog food storage containers before buying this one and I opted for the one without the wheels after I read that review from the person who said he dropped the dog food bag in and the bottom broke! THIS container seems VERY sturdy however. Made of a nice quality material, looks like it will last forever. Slides easily enough, so if you do not have to slide it long distances you really do not need wheels I felt. If you are concerned with scratching floors I suppose you could add a felt bottom. VERY pleased with this product so far! I say buy it.

Awesome storage for dog food! Note picture shows it as gray with blue lid but when received it was tan with red lid. Not a big deal and I actually like it better. It doesn't have an airtight seal as stated but overall a great rubbermaid product!

I travel in an RV and this is perfect for us. It is slim so it fits in several different spots around the kitchen and I love that the scoop slides in under the lid so when the food level gets low you arent sticking your head in the bin to get it. (I'm short, hence short arms lol) anyway, he can't get into it b/c it snaps shut and it's a tight snap might I add. It holds a lot of food which is good because I have a hungry Weimaraner :D I highly recommend this. I got mine at Petco. Oh, p.s. I have a 4 year old little boy who loves to "help" feed Weimy and would overflow his bowl when I wasn't looking. When I snap the lid shut, he can't get in it to "help" me...whew!

I purchased this container to store a 52lb bag of food for my 3 dogs, and it is perfect! The container could probably hold at least 4 maybe 5 more pounds of food easily which is great because I can put a new bag in before the old runs out!
The seal to the actual container is great, just make sure to snap the lid shut (both the lid to the container and the flip open part), and the scoop is extremely convenient since 1 scoop= 1.5 cups (which is the amount of food all 3 dogs eat at each meal)
